Artist Statement
From recruiting his cousins to act in short projects when he was young, to the film sets with 20+ members and industry level equipment he directs now, Ryan has long been using experimental VFX, animation, and narrative storytelling to explore his deepest fears and insecurities in heightened, tragic situations. Through this art, he seeks to show how our personal perspectives can warp wildly around a seemingly objective world, and tap into our universal struggle to control the uncontrollable. He is currently in post-production on his senior thesis, doing ambitious VFX work to bring the story of a young boy disappearing to life.
